To add your pattern to the ReaCrochetPatterns catalog I need:
For obvious reasons I cannot just simply add hundreds of patterns to the catalog without checking to make sure they are actually real, human made crochet patterns and not fake (or stolen).
We have to make sure people are 100% sure that any crochet pattern they see on this catalog site is 100% real and most definitely by the original designer.
Below here you will see what is needed to confirm your pattern is real:
Images
In your confirmation request you can upload up to 10 product images.
- Product images
- Square (not rectangular)
If is not 100% clear that your patterns is real, a screenshot of a SMALL part of your pattern would be most helpful. Just a small part where it’s obvious that it is real.
Most of the time this last step here is not necessary though. So don’t worry, you do not need to send me your pattern.
In fact, I do not want you to send me your pattern. Any emails that contain pdf patterns will be deleted before I have even read them.
This website is just a catalog that displays images of crochet patterns that are confirmed to be real. No crochet patterns can be purchased here or downloaded. The view now button will send you to the official store where that particular designer is selling that pattern (or is providing it for free if it is a free pattern).
Later, once your pattern has been added to the catalog, you may also submit a profile picture of yourself (not a logo) so you can be added to the list of the designers who have joined this Real Crochet Patterns community/catalog.
This helps to show potential customers of yours that you are a real person. People can see all designers on the “designers” page on this website.
Link(s) to a tutorial or promotional video
If this crochet pattern is available as a YouTube tutorial, then I would love a link to that. There are unfortunately already fake YouTube crochet videos, which is why I need a link.
If you have a promotional video if the finished item on YouTube, then I would love to see that for the same reason stated above. Just simply to make sure it’s real.
Link(s) to your selling platform(s)
I will need a link to each platform where you already sell your crochet pattern. That can be:
- Etsy
- Ravelry
- Your own website
- …
- And even your Facebook page if that is the only place you sell your patterns
I need this link/ these links so I can check the reviews/comments from customers. If for example, I see a lot of reviews are saying the pattern does not match the image or claims the pattern is fake, I will need more proof it is indeed a real pattern.
The need for a link(s) is also to see how long you have had your store. One that’s only a month/couple of months old, will require some more investigating.
It’s also to see your other crochet patterns. If for example only 1 looks real but the other look like Ai, then more investigating will be needed.
If I see you are most definitely selling Ai or stolen crochet patterns, then you’re definitely going on the Naughty List. If you know your crochet patterns are fake, Ai, stolen, .. don’t even bother contacting me.
When I have confirmed that your crochet pattern is real, I will email you. You can then send me any additional links to all places that you sell your crochet pattern. Even if that is just via Facebook Messenger, on Instagram, via Whatsapp,…. anywhere you make your pattern available.
That will allow potential customers of yours to choose where they will purchase your crochet pattern.
Link(s) to your social media
Don’t get me wrong, I do not need a link to your personal/private social media accounts. I have absolutely no need to see pictures of your child or other family members. No no, that is most definitely not what this is about.
I am talking about your social media accounts where you show, sell, promote your crochet patterns. Just to see the comments and reactions of people.
If for example a lot are saying it’s very fake, stolen, … more investigating will be needed.

Once your crochet pattern is confirmed to be real (that process goes quickly because I check my emails several times a day), I will need the following additional info:
- In what languages is your pattern available
- On which platforms is it available
- Is it free or paid
- Will also need a full product description
- Link to your contact page or email address where potential customers may message you with questions about the pattern
- In what category do you want the pattern
- Which tags do you want me to add
In the form below you can enter the necessary data. Please keep it to 1 crochet pattern per form. Any additional crochet patterns you want to submit, you can do afterwards in a new form or just via email when I have replied to you.
SUBMITTING YOUR CROCHET PATTERN IS TOTALLY FREE.
Your crochet pattern will not be sold on this platform. It (the product images only) will just simply be displayed in the catalog on this platform. When people click on the “view now” button, it will take them to your shop. No transactions are/can be done on this website here.
